Who We Are
3D Learning: Arts Collective CIC is led by Co-Directors Jackie Tait and Kate Hopewell. Together they bring a wide-ranging wealth of experience in education, creative learning, arts and community outreach, providing strategic direction and quality assurance while fostering a culture of artistic and educational innovation and reflective practice.
They have brought together a team of highly-experienced freelance artists and educators, each contributing a unique set of creative and artistic skills and experience, underpinned by a shared foundation in creative learning within a variety of educational settings.
The Collective’s structure promotes adaptability, creativity, and depth of experience, making it uniquely positioned to design and deliver high-quality, impactful 3D learning experiences across a range of contexts.
Meet our Directors
Jackie Tait
Co-Director
Jackie is a Creative Learning Consultant, Theatre Producer and Arts Manager with over 30 years experience developing imaginative, innovative and inclusive arts programs in schools and communities. She has produced theatre productions touring to schools, community settings, and theatres across the UK. Her work is rooted in collaboration, often bridging professional practice with educational and community settings to foster creativity, confidence, and access to the arts.
As a creative learning specialist, Jackie has designed and delivered participatory workshops, artist training programmes, teacher training programmes and curriculum-linked projects for schools, youth groups, and cultural institutions. Jackie was Head of Primary & Early Years Programme at the National Theatre for 17 years, creating and managing large-scale participatory education projects with primary schools across the UK.
Jackie has also worked with organisations such as the Unicorn Theatre, the Centre for Literacy in Primary Education, Liverpool Everyman Playhouse, Liverpool Empire, Hackney Empire, Paperwork Theatre, The Georgian Group, Liverpool Hope University and the University of Brighton.
Kate Hopewell
Co-Director
Kate is a Drama, Oracy and Creative Learning Consultant who, as a fully qualified teacher, has worked across EYFS, Key Stage 1, 2 and 3, using drama and other creative learning methods to remove barriers to learning across the curriculum. Her practices earned her the award of Specialist Leader of Learning in Drama and launched her career as a trainer of teachers.
Kate uses creativity to unlock learning potential, develop language, communication skills, cohesion and confidence.
The 3D Learning strategies incorporate learning using all senses and, as such, lend themselves to heightened learning experiences for young people with SEND. Over the last two years, Kate has expanded on her SEND practices and, in partnership with a leading Specialist SEN school, has devised 3D learning strategies specifically for young people in EYFS through to Further Education, with Autistic Spectrum Condition, Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties and Severe Learning Difficulties.
Kate has worked extensively in schools across the UK as well as for organisations such as the Centre for Literacy in Primary Education, Unicorn Theatre, A New Direction, Barking and Dagenham: Inspiring Futures, Trinity School Dagenham, BBC Bitesize WWF, RSPB, Shakespeare Schools Foundation and the National Theatre.
